Burning Man Art Car

Bixi is a labor of love– one that in four short years we have grown from a pet project to a Burning Man standard. Her story stems from an ancient Chinese mythical creature of the same name– an idea we took and ran with to create this art-car. These images show her after the latest updates we made this year for Burning Man 2017. Head, neck, legs and dome are all steel-framed attached to an old tomato picker. She holds up to 120 people on three different levels, including a pagoda-style balcony that serves as a DJ booth for parties.
